Winter Haven is known as the Chain of Lakes City, and if you have a little extra time, getting out on the water is a must! You can rent a pontoon boat and cruise through the canals connecting the lakes, or hop on a guided boat tour to take in the views and maybe spot some wildlife along the way. Since we’ll be celebrating in December, it might be a little chilly but don’t worry, it’s Florida cold. Think light jacket weather, not snow boots. The sunshine and lake views are still worth it!
