How we met

It was a late night in August. Mishayla was pulling back into school with a group of friends. They stopped by to say hi to Rafe, who was heading back to his place. Mishayla immediately thought he was the cutest thing ever but dropped it thinking nothing was going to come out of it. She went to her friend Anne and said how she met a cutie the night prior and Anne said they would be perfect together. Mishayla brushed it off. As the year went Rafe and Mishayla kept running into each other time and time again. Rafe would even slide into her dms to see if she was going out dancing for the night. Time and time again Mishayla would basically run away from Rafe. All he was trying to do was get to know her but there was always a good song that would come on. Eventually Rafe added her on snap because he was tired or dm-ing her. Can you guess what Mishayla did? She left him hanging for 3 days because she didn't know whether or not she wanted to give him a chance. She gave in and Rafe was determined to get a date out of this girl. He was intentional with his questions and would remember every last detail Mishayla would say about quite literally anything. They went on their first date and Rafe knew he couldn't let this one go. He asked her to be his girlfriend that night. It has in no way been an easy ride but these two centered their relationship with the Lord. Through the late night walks, talks, good days and bad, they continued to grow and fight for each other. This is just a fragment of their journey. It doesn't just stop here...

Praise be to Him

The Covenant of Marriage

Marriage, to us, is more than a promise, it is a sacred covenant before God. We believe that covenantal love reflects Christ’s love for His people: faithful, sacrificial, and enduring. As Scripture says, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). We are choosing to build our marriage with Christ at the center, committing ourselves to love one another with patience, grace, humility, and steadfast devotion. Through every season, we pray our union would honor God and reflect the beauty of His design for marriage: “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” (Mark 10:9).
