Question

When Should I purchase my flight?

Answer

The sooner the better for the best pricing and availability. Prices tend to go up closer to time.

Question

Where is the closest airport?

Answer

FCO - Roma Fiumicino Airport is the closest airport and you will want to fly into this airport.

Question

Where should I stay in Rome?

Answer

Rome is a big city with thousands of hotel accommodations. We recommend you book something in the center or very close to the center for easy access to the wedding and reception location as well as for you own convenience to see the beautiful city. See our list of recommendations for good locations.

Question

What are my choices of transportation to and from the airport to the center?

Answer

TAXI (€48 per taxi). The fixed fare for a Rome taxi is €48 between FCO and central Rome for up to four people and their luggage. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes to most parts of this central area. If your hotel is outside this area, you will have to pay whatever is on the meter. TRAIN FL1 (cost 8€) The FL1 service has a number of stops: those close to the center of Rome. This is usually the best train to take if you're going to anywhere in Trastevere, or to the Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, or the Pantheon area. The trip takes 26 to 48 minutes depending on station. Departures are 15 to 20 minutes apart in the middle of the day. ROMA AIRPORT BUS T.A.M. (€5 per person online or on the bus ). Between 08:00 and 23:30, this shuttle service operates between FCO (Terminal 3) to Termini Station. The buses are located at Terminal 3. Open return tickets cost €8.00 per person. From Termini Station (on right side as you are facing the station) they travel between 04:30 and 20:30.
