We met at a party through mutual friends. It was all laughter, jokes, and teasing throughout the night and that’s when our friendship begin. We started going on beach trips, food ventures, and little fun filled shenanigan trips.

On a trip to Santa Cruz, after a night of laughing, drinking, and eating. We became boyfriend and girlfriend official! He made sure to wait till it was past 12pm so our anniversary wouldn’t be on April fools (can you imagine the puns it would bring on if it were) and popped the question. We spent the day shopping, walking around the boardwalk, and of course eating.

On a Friday night, we decided to go on a double date with our friends Alicia and Luis out to the Wharf in Bodega Bay. We hadn’t been to the beach, or enjoyed some food by the water in a while. We all drove out together and when we got there he kept insisting we go look at the water first and catch the last glimpse of the sunset. We walked out and as I was taking pictures he got down on one knee with the ring in his hands. I turned around as I could tell from the corner of my eye he had bent down for something and I was going to ask if he was okay. I was surprised at what I saw when I turned around. Scared my clumsy self was going to knock the beautiful ring out of his hands I jumped back and jerked my hands as far as I could from the ring and my inner ghetto came out. “Oh my god are you for real?!” I exclaimed. He smiled and said yes. I said yes, with my heart pumping so hard from the excitement. We celebrated with some champagne our friends brought for us, they were well aware of what was about to happen, and we continued with our dinner and spoke about our future wedding and here we are!
