I met Sam when she first walked into the evening class of nursing school. A confident and strong personality sitting across a room full eager people wanting to get into nursing. I moved on to the day program and did not see her again until we both got hired on 5D. She became my sounding board and we both grew as nurses on that unit. Our friendship grew as we both got our BSN and went into the ICU. She is always available when I need her. A late night call or an early morning margarita. I am proud to call her my Matron of Honor and have her be a part of my special day.

We have grown as friends from going out to helping each other during codes. She is the truest definition of a friend and am grateful she came into my life. I remember her walking down the halls of 4D with her wing tip eyeliner talking about her wedding. I was honored to get to see her marry the man she fell in love with and now she gets to see me marry mine.

We all need that one crazy friend and I found mine. We met at USAA on a unit that allowed us time of the phone. We would meet after work or on the weekends for a drink and somehow she always got tipsy. She has a bubbly personality and a heart to match. We would do midnight runs to mama margies or go man spying when the sun would go down. She is always up for anything. She grew to be one of my closest friends and gets to see me tie the knot.

Daniel's mom and step father. The two people who raised me and let me test the boundaries of simple convention. My mom worked for HEB tirelessly and always made sure we had food on the table. A simple woman with a sharp tongue. She is always willing to help with anything and had made this wedding possible. My step father raised me from a small age. He showed me what hard work means and to always be true to myself. A man who worked all his life and has entered retirement gets to see me marry the person of my dreams.
