How we met

We met in September of '97 at a friends gathering. We had mutual friends who so happen to be dating at the time. I commented on how "cute" Christina was and wanted to know more about her. We were introduced and immediately hit it off. We dated for about 3 months. As life would have it, we went on our separate ways. I went on to join the Army, but remained in contact with our mutual friends through the years. In 2010, upon my return to NYC, my friends and I made plans to hangout one night. We all decided to meet up at one location and that was at our good friend Giselle's house. Without telling me, they invited Christina. I was in awe when I saw her. Remaining cool, we all went out to a club and danced the night away. For the first time in my life I felt nervous being around her. I knew then, that she was the one I wanted to be with. Here we are 5 years later and I'm grateful to have her as my Wife.

The proposal

On Dec. 5th, 2011, Christina had just given birth to our baby boy Xavier; ON HER BIRTHDAY!!! She had just given me one of the greatest gift and blessing a man could ever ask for. While I already had a ring for her, I wanted to wait for the right moment. What a better moment than this? So, at a moment that she went to the restroom, I placed the ring on the bed so she could see the case when she returned. When she returned, she saw the box & immediately broke into tears! As she turned around to face me, I walked over to her and all she said was YES!

The 1st time we said "We do"

We got married in a small ceremony with our mothers & Xavier at the Yonkers courthouse.

Surprise Vow Renewal

Unfortunately, at the time we got married, I was unable to give her the wedding she always wanted. So now it’s time to make her dream wedding come true. I've envision all of our family and friends gathering together for this joyous occasion. The anticipation is killing me, but the end result will be all worth it. She deserves this and more. However, the only way for my plan to succeed is to have the cooperation of everyone who will be a part this special moment in our lives. This Vow Renewal Ceremony is a SURPRISE! A SECRET! A MYSTERY TO HER! SHE DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS AT ALL! So please, NOT A WORD TO HER about it. I will be telling her that this is our family vacation as the date gets closer. As you can see under the schedule tab, I have a dinner planned on the evening of the 24th. Once she see's everyone at the dinner table, this is when the secret will be revealed. I thank you all in advance for helping make the dream of this special lady come true. I can't wait to see you all there!!! Love, Mickey
