Here we are, starting "From the Ground Up"

We actually went to Campion Academy at the same time and met while in high school. Jacob likes to say that I didn't even know he existed and didn't pay any attention to him. I admit that he wasn't exactly on my radar at that time but that just means that it wasn't our time. About a year after I graduated from high school we both ended up working at Glacier View Ranch. His friend Luke decided to work up there and convinced Jacob to join him for the summer and we ended up working as wranglers in the horse barn that whole summer. It was the best summer of my life because I got to fall in love with the man of my dreams. We fell in love soon after the summer began and have been inseparable ever since. He is so patient and calm with me and never fails to show me just how much he cares for me. I love you with all my heart, my love! -Your Future Wife.

Jacob and I had decided that we wanted to go up to the mountains for the day because I was dying to see some fall colors. I decided to take my camera with us and take some good pictures of what colors we could see. It was still a little early in the season for super good colors but we decided we wanted to go anyways. We decided to go up to Breckenridge for the day and walk around town some. After spending a few hours walking around town I remembered a spot that we took pictures at 2 years before in October when we went up to Breckenridge to celebrate a family birthday. We had taken pictures in front of this beautiful lake on some rocks just below the steps. So Jacob, as sweet as he was, played along and humored me while we went to take a few pictures. We hadn't gotten any selfies yet because I was too distracted taking pictures of the lake with the waterfalls. As I was taking some more pictures of the colors from across the lake I heard Jacob whispering behind me to someone but I decided to pay no attention. Little did I know he was showing them the ring and asking them to video the proposal. The next few moments are still an emotional blur, but this is what I remember. I was trying to focus in on another picture and then I heard Jacob ask me to turn around. As I did he looked back to find him on one knee asking me to "make him the happiest man in the world". It took about a second to register in my head that this was truly happening. My hand went over my mouth, my eyes began to fill up with tears and I fell to my knees. I couldn't seem to get the word "yes!" out. Just three simple little letters that I eventually said while ruining my make up with tears of happiness. I have never been happier in my whole life and I can't wait to see what our future holds! I love you, darling. Let's build this life from the ground up.
