We first met in the summer of 2022 when a group of our friends floated the Deschutes river together. From the very start, we were curious about each other and even danced together at a Jon Pardi concert that same night. Life pulled us in different directions for a while after this, but we continued to cross paths at group gatherings. Everything changed on June 1st, 2024, at our dear friends’ wedding (shoutout to Cooger & Kailey, now our own best man and bridesmaid!). Tanner was the best man and Raelyn was a bridesmaid, a tale as old as time. That night, we finally had the chance to reconnect, and we haven’t separated since! Looking back, it is evident that God was preparing our hearts for each other the entire time, and that His hand was guiding us in His perfect timing. In the period between when we first met and when we connected at the wedding, Tanner had found life in Christ. This was the very first thing he shared with Raelyn the night of the wedding, which ultimately set the foundation for the relationship we would begin building together. We spent the next year filled with countless memories and endless laughter. Almost a year to the day later, on June 7th, 2025, Tanner asked for Raelyn’s hand in marriage. He proposed at our favorite restaurant, The Jackalope Grill. It was an incredibly intimate and heartfelt moment that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
