Wedding Ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m.

It all started in downtown Hammond on a Thursday night. Raeleigh was a 19-year-old first-semester college student out with her friends. Shayne was a 21-year-old college student and door guy at Your Mom’s Restaurant and Bar. Neither of them were looking for love at the time, but God had other plans for them that night. Raeleigh walked up to Shayne and he initially thought that she was just another young college girl wanting something for free from the door guy. She certainly proved him wrong. They talked and laughed all night until closing time. Shayne got her number before the night ended, and they have been together ever since. The couple purchased Maroon 5 tickets in 2019. Their favorite song is “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5 and it was the first song they ever sang in the car together. The concert was originally scheduled for June of 2020, which is when Shayne planned on proposing. A global pandemic had other plans. The concert got moved to September 2021. They picked out each other's outfits for the concert and got ready to go. Shayne spent the whole day nervously biting his nails and working hard to make sure the day was perfect for Raeleigh. When they arrived at the concert, Raeleigh told Shayne that she was not getting anything to drink because she didn't want to miss anything. Shayne finally persuaded her to get a beverage. Of course, she had to go to the restroom. While she was gone, Shayne told the crowd around them to take pictures and videos because he was about to propose. Their song started to play and Shayne dropped to one knee and proposed to Raeleigh. There wasn't a dry eye around them. The couple hugged, cried, and cheered with excitement. It was a night they would never forget.
