the beginning of forever

We met in 2019 when one of my best friends went to school at GCA and became friends with Josh and his brother Bobby. Throughout that year, I also became friends with the two of them and they would invite me out on the boat and Josh and I would text on occasion. Then come the next school year, I decided to attend GCA as well. This is when Josh and I became really close and spent a lot of time together. We would visit each other at work, study together, and hang out in the gym playing basketball. Although I thought it was just a friendship, Josh had other plans and told me he liked me! I didn't think much of it and told him I didn't feel the same and just cherished our friendship a ton. Come a few weeks later when he had distanced himself from me, I started to really miss his company and realized I had feelings for him. Throughout the next couple of months, we grew much closer and our relationship started to bloom. We had so much fun together, and playing 7's, a basketball game, was a daily occurrence during our breaks. Fast forward to January 7 2021, he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest was history:) Almost exactly 4 years and 3 months later he asked me to marry him, and exactly 5 years and 2 months later we are going to say "I Do"!
