While the story officially starts in Guam and throughout the Pacific Ocean sailing home from a deployment, Ellie & Sean’s electricity didn’t truly start until a few months later. After hanging out with the same group of friends a few times there was one fateful night in Pacific Beach that sparked something more. A slow start quickly led to inseparable couple. Sean and Ellie made a lot of quality memories together. If they weren’t spending the weekend traveling to each other, they were traveling out of town to snowboard, wine taste, visit friends or family and quickly the electricity was unstoppable. Ellie impending move to Okinawa, Japan, her new duty station, made their time together even more special and the two made sure to capitalize on every second they could spend together. They spent the summer living together which brought them closer and gave a glance at what life together forever could look like. With a couple days left of being together before Ellie’s big move, Sean and Ellie returned from a great trip to Wisconsin visiting family and showing Sean how great the Midwest is (in the summer time). The two enjoyed an amazing meal at a restaurant they had been dying to try all summer. As they headed home, Sean suggested they drive up to the top of the hill to catch the sunset (one of Ellie’s favorite things). The parked and walked to the field overlooking the hills of San Clemente and the water. It was a beautiful sunset about to set behind the clouds and the couple began to take some pictures together. Sean slyly set the camera to video and after they posed for a picture, Sean got down on one knee and asked Ellie to marry him. It was easy, “absolutely!” from Ellie.
