Our ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, so plan to arrive around 6pm to find parking if you're driving, enjoy a welcome drink, mingle with our friends and family, check out the wonderfully special venue, and find your seat! If you're camping, please arrive around 5pm to give yourself time to park, set up, and get ready to party!
Yes! Shuttles will depart to the ceremony at 5:15pm from The Westin Riverfront in Avon and from The Inn at Riverwalk in Edwards. Shuttles will return to Avon and Edwards at 10:30pm, 12am, and 2am.
State Bridge Lodge has ample parking! However, if you plan on letting loose with some drinks, please take advantage of the shuttles we will be providing, or bring your camping gear to enjoy the full festival experience!
Only those listed on your invitation will have a seat at the wedding. Thank you for understanding!
Unless your child is listed on your invitation, we will not have space for them. If your invitation is addressed to "The ___ Family," we'll be expecting an RSVP for everyone in your immediate family. Thank you for understanding!
Due to the nature of peak season in Avon, few hotels offer room block discounts. For this reason, we recommend you book your accommodations directly with the provider or through travel sites like Expedia. We have a few hotels at varying pricepoints listed on the "Travel" section of this site. Be sure to check out VRBO and Air BnB options nearby as well!
State Bridge's elevation is 6,600′. If you've never been up in the mountains, be prepared to feel a little drier and a little more affected by alcohol. But don't stress! Here are some tips for feeling your best: 1. If possible, spend a day in Denver to acclimate. Famously one mile high, it can be a good place to allow your body to ease into the altitude change. 2. Hydrate! Drinking plenty of water before and during your trip is key to feeling your best. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of water available at all wedding events! 3. Rest up. Make sure you’re well-rested before traveling, as fatigue can amplify altitude symptoms. 4. Take it easy on the alcohol -- You'll feel its effects a bit more dramatically at altitude. Have fun, but pace yourself! All in all, there's nothing to be too worried about. If you have any preexisting health conditions or concerns, perhaps chat with your doctor before your trip. Otherwise, just focus on enjoying the fresh mountain air and stunning views!
Check out our "travel" tab for details on this! In short, if you're coming from out-of-town we recommend flying into Denver or Eagle, and renting a car to get to Avon.
If you've spent any time in the mountains of Colorado, you know that there can be variations in temperature! Since the whole event is outdoors, expect the daytime to be sunny and warm (think 70's) and the evening/night time to drop down to the mid to high 40's . We recommend you dress in layers for your time in Colorado! There will be a bonfire and heaters once the sun goes down, and we're planning on keeping it hot on the dancefloor, so don't worry too much ;)
Something fun and festive that you can comfortably boogie in! We will be outdoors on grass and gravel, so we advise you to not wear your nicest heels or floor-length gowns. When it comes to shoes, don't wear anything that you don't mind getting dirty. The dancefloor will be compacted dirt, so boots or chunky platforms would be ideal. Think about what you'd wear at a high mountain music festival :) If you know us, you know we love a funky outfit that's comfy and fun to dance in. The more color, the better! Gentlemen, do not feel obligated to wear a tie, and ladies, do not feel pressured to wear anything uncomfortable. Want to bring a change of clothes for the after party? Go for it! We'll have spaces set up to change clothes. Dying to bring out your vintage fringe coat that you never get a chance to wear? Now's the time! Eyeing the sequin pants you bought at a festival in college? Pack those puppies and get ready to be a human disco ball on the dancefloor! Cowboy hats, fuzzy coats, sparkles, florals, bright colors, shiny fabrics, funky accessories, and bold jewelry are all encouraged. Upstaging the bride will be absolutely impossible, but we'd love to see you try ;) Colorado can get chilly in the evening, so just be sure to bring layers. Want some outfit inspo? Yes! State Bridge has several campsites available for tents, vans, or RVs! Reach out to us if you'd like to go for this option so we can help coordinate. This option is ideal if you want to party with us until the wee hours!
You bet! Besides the restrooms on site, we'll have spaces set up for you to change and get ready.
No! But if you're uncomfortable being off the grid for an evening, Wi-Fi is available.
Please arrive no earlier than 5pm on Saturday to set up your campsite. If you are staying on-property, we recommend driving since shuttles will not be available on Sunday. If you are camping or staying in a cabin on the property, there will be amenities available for you! Showers, toilets, and water will all be readily available, as well as a space to get ready for the party. (Note, no power outlets are present in this area, so ladies, use your hair tools before you arrive!) If you're camping, we recommend keeping your site minimal since amenities are available. A tent or vehicle with your sleeping gear and a cooler should suffice! Feel free to BYOB, though we'll have a full open bar for the duration of the wedding celebration. Though drinking water will be available, it never hurts to bring some for yourself. Keep in mind we plan on playing music (loudly) until early in the morning, so bring earplugs if you want to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast on Sunday will be provided, but feel free to bring your own snacks. Everyone must leave State Bridge by noon on Sunday. Don't hesitate to reach out to Rae or Ridge if you have any questions at all!
