FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is FORMAL. Long dresses for Women and suits with a tie for Men. Please no mini dresses or jeans; dress your best! It’s a given, but please don’t wear white of any form. The Lafayette Hotel is fun, funky, & eclectic - feel free to dress up to match the vibes!

Question

Can kids/babies come?

Answer

We respectfully and kindly request no babies or children of any age at the ceremony or reception allowing all guests to enjoy an adults-only evening! They are welcome at our Sunday pool day though!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

For the sake of our venue's capacity, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. We apologize and thank you for understanding.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved a hotel block at The Lafayette Hotel and would love for you to stay with us for the weekend. To access the room block discount please CALL the hotel and mention Max & Rae’s wedding when booking. We are having a pool day on Sunday, if you'd like to stay an extra day you can let them know you'd like to check out Monday - it is separate from the room block but they will take care of it for you! You’re welcome to stay at any other hotels nearby, but most of our events will take place at The Lafayette. Everything is relatively close and Ubers are easy to get in San Diego.

Question

What time should I arrive at the Church for the ceremony?

Answer

If you ARE NOT utilizing our transportation from The Lafayette hotel, please arrive at the Greek Church no later than 3:00-3:15pm. If you ARE utilizing our transportation, please be ready to go outside of the hotel by 2:30-2:45pm.

Question
