Their love story

Rae and Logan met in their church’s youth group while they were both in high school. They’d like to give a special thanks to Rae’s brother, Rich, for inviting Logan to their church! From the first day, the two instantly liked each other. If you ask Logan, he’ll likely tell you he knew he wanted to marry Rae from day one. Rae, forever the realist, made him wait (probably longer than necessary if she’s honest). The couple began dating in high school, but called it off when Rae left for college. Staying close through most of college, Rae and Logan never stopped thinking of each other and what could’ve been. A few years passed, Logan reached out and the two began again. On October 20, 2024, they made it official. One year later, on October 25, 2025, Logan asked the question and Rae said yes!

The Proposal

October 22nd 2026

The day she decided to say yes. From Logan's perspective, that was the most stressful day of my life. One: hoping everything was timed perfectly. Two: making sure she never figured out what the plan was. Three: praying she would say yes. The day started like any regular date. I picked her up, we got food, did some fun activities, nothing out of the ordinary (or so she thought). The entire time, I was silently hoping my friends and family had everything set up exactly as planned. Before I knew it, it was already time to pop the question, and my heart was racing. Everyone was waiting in another room (she had no idea they were even there.) Then it turned into a waiting game. She came down the stairs looking absolutely stunning in a red dress, which happens to be my favorite color. Unfortunately, because of timing, we had to wait for the grandmothers to arrive, so we just sat there. It felt like an eternity. My heart was pounding, my palms were clammy, and I could barely focus on any conversation. Finally, the grandmothers arrived, and it was the moment. We opened the door to lights, candles, and photos of us beautifully set up in the backyard. I, being the totally manly man that I am, started tearing up a little. The biggest, most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen spread across her face. Now we were in THE MOMENT. I had prepared everything, thinking surely I’d have something amazing and poetic to say. I didn’t. I was at a complete loss for words. But seeing her smile, standing there patiently waiting for me to ask, was all it took. I asked. She said yes. And the rest is history.
