Alex and Radia met for the first time in 2016 over a cup of coffee at the Brickyard Starbucks. Alex was a shy, nervous wreck, and Radia was her natural bubbly self. This would become the general tone for the rest of their relationship. For example, when Radia met Alex's sister for the first time, the two of them squealed and hugged, whereas the day leading up to when Alex met Radia's mom, Alex paced and hyperventilated. Radia and Alex fell deeper in love than the two could have ever imagined. From doing long distance while Radia was away at U of I, to moving into their first apartment together and adopting a couple of fur babies along the way. Five years later, at the same Brickyard Starbucks where the two had met for the first time, Alex was once again a shy, nervous wreck, and Radia still her natural bubbly self. Alex went inside to order two coffees, but came back to the car with two empty cups, one with a diamond ring inside. You can guess which cup was for Radia, and you can guess what her answer was when Alex asked, "Will you marry me?"

We wanted to give a special thanks to our guests for all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult year. Our special day is going to look very different than what we originally planned, in ways more than one. We changed our total guest count from it's original amount of 150 guests to now only 30 of our immediate family members and life long friends. While we do wish we had the emotional capacity to be able to share this special day with all of our loved ones, in our hearts we know the reception would still feel empty without the attendance of the late Del Bender. "Love you all to the moon!"
