Yes! We’ve secured blocks of rooms at a few hotels in the area, including the hotel where the ceremony and reception are taking place. To take advantage of the group discount you must book your room(s) by the first week in September. Please see the TRAVEL & HOTEL section of our site for booking links and phone numbers.
The ceremony and reception will both be in the outdoor courtyard of the Maison Dupuy Hotel: 1001 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA 70112 Phone: +1 504.586.8000. Toll-Free: 800.535.9177 Website: www.maisondupuy.com
The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00PM on Friday, October 19th. We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to grab a drink, start mingling and find your seats.
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception by August 31st using the stamped RSVP postcard that came with your invitation OR via the RSVP section right here on our site. Please RSVP for the Welcome Cocktail Party via the RSVP section on our site.
For our guests arriving early, there is a welcome cocktails and hors d'oeuvres party at The Maison on Frenchmen Street beginning at 7:30PM on Thursday, October 18th. The casual get-together will be held on the private balcony level of The Maison. Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks and meet your fellow guests. Please RSVP via the RSVP section on our site so we can make sure you don't want for anything!
We hope our wedding on Friday, October 19th will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite, warm-weather cocktail attire! There will be a fair amount of parading in the streets and dancing, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The welcome cocktail party on Thursday, October 18th will be casual. Jeans, shorts, sun dresses are all perfect. Since you may wish to visit the other great music venues located on Frenchman Street, comfortable footwear is a good idea. The party will be indoors.
Paid valet parking is available at the Maison Dupuy Hotel (ceremony and reception). Parking at The Maison on Frenchmen Street (welcome party) is street-only.
In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!
The reserved hotels are an easy walk or a short ride away from the ceremony/reception location as well as the welcome cocktail party. Taxis, Pedi-Cabs, Lyft and UBER rides are readily available in New Orleans.
It's not New Orleans if you're not eating and drinking! At our welcome cocktail party, we will have an open bar as well as heavy hors d'oeuvres. At our reception, we will have a full open bar and a traditional "reception-style" dinner, where Creole and Cajun cuisine favorites will be served all night long. Our main mission is to celebrate in true NOLA style!
Please indicate your dietary restriction(s) via the RSVP section on our site. We want you to be safe and comfortable!
If you know us, you don't really have to ask, do you? Of course we will have loads of live music and dancing. We've arranged for some of the best to keep you entertained well into the evening!
Your travel to and presence at our wedding is truly gift enough. Seriously. But because you asked, we are registered online via ZOLA.com. Visit the REGISTRY section of our site. Thank you!
We ask that you please silence and put away your phones/cameras during the wedding ceremony, as we'd love for you to be present and enjoy our special moments with us. After that, snap and post to your heart's content. But please make sure you don't jump in front of our professional photographer! And choose your favorite hashtag: #DustinedForRacquel * #AsStrongAsYouLoveMe * #LetMeSeeThatStrong
Average temperatures are in the low 80s Fahrenheit during the day and high 60s at night. New Orleans is typically quite humid, so dress accordingly to be comfortable. We recommend a light wrap or sweater in the case of cooler evening temperatures or high-powered air conditioning. As October is the driest month of the year in New Orleans, the city is quite busy. See the THINGS TO DO section on our site for ideas!
