Alex was on Facebook one day and saw a photo from Lincoln High School prom 2012. He zeroed in on one of the girls in a blue dress and told himself “I’m going to marry that girl some day, she’s beautiful”. Not knowing who this girl was or even her name, he went on with his day to day routine. A few weeks later on April 18th 2012, Alyssa was driving to school with her friend Gabby. They were going back and forth about boys and what senior year was going to entail as the end of junior year was quickly approaching. Gabby was telling Alyssa all about a party she had attended with her family and out of no where Gabby said “That’s it! He’s the guy you need to be with!”. Alyssa was confused and asked what guy she was talking about. “Rackley!!” Gabby said! I don’t know his first name though! But that’s him! He would be perfect for you! Of course Alyssa was curious about this guy her friend thought would be absolutely perfect. Alyssa tried to add Alex Rackley on Facebook but Lincoln high school had signal blockers that prevented social media from working during school hours.. bummer. When Alyssa got home from school the friend request had gone through and been accepted! She was so excited and proceeded to find out everything she could about this supposed perfect mystery boy. She instantly thought he was a cutie from his few Facebook photos. All of a sudden her phone dinged, it was a message from Alex. Alyssa panicked but messaged him back and they went back and forth for hours about mutual friends and interests that had no idea they had. By the end of the evening Alex asked Alyssa to go on a date. He took her fishing at his uncle Joe’s pond on 4/21/2012 and the rest is history! They have been through Alyssa going through college and finally realizing cosmetology was her calling, to purchasing a house in 2015 and here they are in 2019, 7 years later planning the rest of their lives together! Oh and if you hadn’t already guessed! That girl in the blue prom dress was Alyssa!
