We met on Tinder! Yes, I'm sure your probably thinking Tinder?.. Really?.. Yes really! Of course most people are very cautious when it comes to meeting up with someone you met online. We had plans to meet for the first time one night and I ended up getting nervous and cancelled. He still gives me a hard time about that and he thought I was catfishing him. So one night we made plans to meet again. I remember meeting him in the dollar store parking lot. I was nervous of course! Especially since I can be a shy person. I got there and we both got out of our vehicles and he gave me a big hug. During that hug, for some reason something went through my head saying he's the one. I knew he was the one in that moment when he hugged me and picked me up off the ground. We rode dirt roads that night and just talked for a few hours, getting to know one another. I noticed that we had alot of the same situations in our lives growing up. It is very rare to find another person with a soul that matches yours. I am so grateful for the broken roads in life that lead me to you! If I had to do it all over again to find you, I would do so in a heartbeat!

It was the weekend of Easter. We went to visit Justin's Mom & Step Dad for the afternoon. We had lunch and the kids enjoyed hunting for Easter eggs. We had already planned that while we were there, we would take some family pictures of ourselves with the kids. After pictures, Justin's Mom announced that the adults were having a special egg hunt. At this moment I'm thinking ok.. so it's Justin & I against his Brother and his wife. I was starting to think this was going to be a tough competition. Right before Justin's Mom said go, she told us that mine and Justin's area to hunt was in one part of the yard and Justin's brother and wife in another part of the yard. I thought well that's odd but ok let's play! Justin & I walked over towards a tree that had previously fallen down and on the ground beside it was a big golden egg. I thought surely this can't be the prize egg because that was way too easy. However, I did notice right away that it looked just like a dragon egg off of the Harry Potter movies. (yes, I am a HP fan) We walked up to it and Justin said we need to see what's inside of the egg. Of course I couldn't get the egg to open, so I handed it to Justin to open. I looked the other way for a split second, probably checking on the kids, and when I turned back to Justin, he was on 1 knee with the egg open displaying a beautiful diamond ring. He asked if I would marry him! I was so shocked that my first response was ARE YOU SERIOUS?! (he still gives me a hard time for saying that) Please note he likes to play alot and joke around, which is why I said are you serious. Lol of course I said yes! I had no idea and it was totally unexpected. I love how he notices the small things that I like, for example the Harry Potter movies and incorporates them into our lives. His proposal was every thing I have ever dreamed of! This man is my best friend, my soul mate, & the Dom to my Letty. ♥️
