When should I RSVP by?

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes. You can find links/phone numbers for the hotel blocks on the "Travel" page here on our wedding website. Be sure to reserve your room before Thursday, March 26th to receive the block rate. Please let us know if the hotel block you would like to reserve is full as we may be able to request more rooms!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon. You can find our registry here on our wedding website. However, because we do not have a home of our own yet, we have not included too many physical items to purchase. Instead, we would appreciate contributions to our house and honeymoon funds.

Are kids welcome?

Due to the capacity limit at our venue, we have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event with the exception of our nephews. We kindly ask that you only bring those formally invited on your invitation. We hope you understand & enjoy the night off as we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the capacity limit at our venue, we are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding. We kindly ask that you only bring those formally invited on your invitation. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will have a cocktail attire dress code. Please feel free to wear dress pants and a dress shirt with or without a tie or a long, midi, or sundress or dressy separates (blouse + dress pants/skirt). Weather depending, we will be having our ceremony outside. So you may want to bring a suit coat, blazer, sweater, or cardigan in case the late-April weather is a little chilly and flat heels, wedges, or flats will be best for the grass! The bridesmaids will be wearing dresses in sage green.

Where is the ceremony? / Where is the reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are at the same place, Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI 53716. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outside, cocktail hour will be out on the center's back deck, and dinner and dancing will be inside.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony and reception are both at the same place, Aldo Leopold Nature Center, which has plenty of free parking.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 4:30 PM. Please plan to arrive by 4:10 PM to find your seats and mingle before we begin! The ceremony space is only a short walk from all of the venue parking lots.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We have an experienced photographer and videographer capturing our day so kindly request an unplugged ceremony. We ask that everyone turn off or silence all electronic devices and refrain from taking pictures or video throughout the ceremony. We will be happy to share these photos and videos with you afterwards. After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our special day and we encourage you to snap away!

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be a selection of hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour followed by a buffet-style dinner. There will be a meat and vegetarian option along with salad and sides.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will have beer, wine, and two signature cocktails available. There will also be a variety of sodas and sparkling water. Last call will be at 11pm.
