Some love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture, others with a strange coincidence—but ours? It all started with a cornhole tournament. The day after Thanksgiving, at Jack's family’s annual cornhole showdown, fate brought us together. Jack had just moved back home to Syracuse after nearly a decade in Philadelphia, while Rachel, tagging along with her sister Jenn, had no idea she was about to meet her future husband. Strangely enough, they didn’t talk much that day. While words were few, the sparks were plenty—especially on Rachel’s end. Let’s be honest, she was clearly smitten by Jack’s impressive cornhole skills and his tournament championship win that day. (Guess who wrote that part). Jack finally gained the courage to reach out to Rachel (after some pushing from family members) and we went out for a lunch date that would eventually lead to all of this. A few weeks later, on New Year’s Day 2022, we officially started dating, and from that moment on, it’s been a whirlwind of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. In our 3 plus years together now, we have truly become each other's person. Whether its road trips to Pennsylvania to visit Jack's brothers, nieces and nephews, going to Baldwinsville to play SkipBo with Rachel's brother Joey (he always wins), or just hanging out at home with our dog Gus, we never seem to get tired of each other's company. We have always heard from our own parents that in order for marriage to work and to be fun, you need to be equal partners and more importantly best friends. That is what we have become and we could not imagine going through this incredible journey with anyone else. And now, here we are—getting ready for the greatest day of our lives. We can't thank you all enough for being there with us to celebrate!
