Brooklyn Bridge Park
One of our favorite things to do is walk along the water and around the piers at Brooklyn Bridge Park. To enter the park from the 1 Hotel, there is an entrance into the park directly behind the Neighbors Cafe. If you are walking to the park from elsewhere, there is an entrance to the park at the end of Joralemon Street (our street!) You can also have an Uber or Taxi drop you off directly in the park.
PILOT
Enjoy cocktails, oysters, and seafood on a vintage boat docked at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Reservations recommended!
Fornino Pier 6
Casual pizzeria with a rooftop patio located in Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bride Park.
OddFellows Ice Cream Co.
Ice cream in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Known for their inventive flavors, but we are personally fans of their soft serve! They have a location in Dumbo, as well.
Brooklyn Heights Promenade
The Promenade is one of our favorite places in our neighborhood and has the best view of the Manhattan skyline. It is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee!
Time Out Market New York
Located along the water in Dumbo, Time Out Market is a curated food hall and showcases a variety of NYC restaurants. Enjoy the view of the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge from their 5th floor terrace.
Sahadi's
Our favorite specialty market in our neighborhood. Don't miss the dried fruits, chocolates, and nuts in the barrels at the front of the store. We also love their incredible mezze and prepared foods.
Shelsky's Of Brooklyn Appetizing and Delicatessen
Bagels and deli/ appetizing. They are known for their smoked fish, but have a great sandwich menu, too. Don't miss their rugelach!
Colonie
A Brooklyn Heights staple for locally sourced, seasonal cuisine. Very popular for both dinner (reservations recommended) and brunch (walk-in only)! Before moving here, this was the first restaurant we ever tried in the neighborhood. Also check out their sister restaurant Pips, a Coastal-Italian wine and cocktail bar located next door.
Noodle Pudding
Our favorite restaurant. Delicious, cash-only Italian cuisine.
The Long Island Bar
Our favorite bar in the neighborhood. Classic cocktails and an amazing burger.
Lucali
Located a little further away in Carroll Gardens, Lucali is the most buzzworthy pizza in Brooklyn and the groom's favorite in NYC. Get there early, put your name down, and explore the neighborhood while you wait a few hours for your table to be ready. BYOB and cash-only.
GRAN ELÉCTRICA
Mexican food in Dumbo with a great cocktail menu and beautiful back patio. After getting engaged, we went here for dinner with our families!

Our favorite sandwich shop.
L'Appartement 4F
French bakery making the best croissants in the city. There will be a line each morning, but very worth the wait!
Dellarocco's Brick Oven Pizza
Our favorite pizza in Brooklyn Heights. Neapolitan, brick oven pizza with great gluten free options, as well!
Westville Dumbo
Great for brunch and lunch with plenty of healthy options.
Shopping in Cobble Hill
Walk along Court Street and Smith Street in Cobble Hill for shopping, bakeries, specialty markets, and restaurants.
