We met at the gym after both being members for quite some time but had never bumped into each other until that one Sunday at Open Gym. His cool opening line “You must be new here.” “Nope.” “I’ve never seen you before.” I thought oh great- this is exactly what I was not in the mood for. He played it cool from there also with the help of our mutual friend Diana (and my creepy nameless friends taking pictures of Lucas and sending them to me.) Finally, he asked me on what I thought would be a quick coffee getting to know you which turned into a 6 hour long tour of Memphis. While I was skeptical at first, he said he was building me into his plans from the moment he met me (along with other things he told Eric Huels that I won’t say) but after that night and his handy work on a scoffed car bumper on date #2, I knew this was it.
