Two swipes to the right and a clever message on Bumble is how we were introduced to one another! After chatting for about a month they made plans to go out on a first date. Rachelle was hesitant after a few bad dates so she made a backup plan to end the date early and pick back up with wine and a girls night. Zach, however was sweet, charming and easy to talk to plus he offered to eat family style at dinner so she was pleasantly surprised! They hit it off and had a long dinner, chatted, listened to live music and have been together ever since.
Zach and Rachelle planned a weekend at the Joyce Residence for their parents to finally meet after almost two years of dating. This trip happened to be the first trip everyone was taking post pandemic so they were all happy to get out of the house and Rachelle had no idea there was a behind the scenes plan. She was difficult from the moment the day started, comfortable working in leisure ware, not styled as she normally would be she took her time working and not cooperating with the group despite her Mom and Zach's best effort. Zach had both sets of parents assigned with specific tasks to make the deck perfect while her Dad took her to the store for "forgotten" dinner items. When they returned, the deck was set with flowers, champagne, a sweet treat and a card. As Rachelle walked out on the deck she immediately thought "OMG whose birthday or anniversary did I forget" and started to panic. Then when she realized what was going on she was in so much shock she started laughing and crying yelling at Zach "Shut up, this is not happening right now!?" After Zach got her to settle down he shared the sweetest words in front of their parents then got down on one knee to ask her to marry him... she of course said yes and was overjoyed with the surprise that was pulled off by the entire team!
