Mitch and I met when I attended a Life in Color concert in Lincoln. Mitch had also gone to Lincoln that night to a house party. We both caught a ride back to Omaha with Eric Ruiz, all thanks to Taylor Turner and Brennon Geis (who were dating at the time), which is how we happened to end up in the same car! I was instantly attracted to Mitch, but sadly we never exchanged numbers that night. Later, we ran into each other at a house party Brennon was throwing and struck up a conversation. We finally exchanged numbers and started talking, on and off, until we officially started to date. The rest they say is history; however, not without a few ups and downs. But, that’s what makes us such a strong couple now! We are so excited to start our life together as husband and wife and are looking forward to all there is to come.
On the day Mitch proposed, we headed off to our friend Zach Kowalczyk’s parents lake house for a day of jet-skiing and hanging out. We arrived at Zach's and immediately hopped on the jet-skis for a ride around the lake. Once we finished our ride, Mitch asked me to take a picture on the dock with him because he really liked the dress I wore that day. I agreed, as all our recent photos together were selfies so I thought, what a good idea! We snapped a couple pictures when Mitch got down on one knee and popped the big question: “Will you marry me?” without any hesitation, I said "YES"!
