We met through a mutual friend at a bar! I (Rachelle) was out with a friend at Hampton and Hudson and ran into Kirby. He was roommates with my friend's coworker. We were having a fun girl's day out, so when my friend said she should go say hi, I replied, "do you have to?" Well I'm glad she did because we hit it off and the rest is (a 7 year!) history!

Kirby's cousin and his wife were in town and we went to go see the "Garden Lights" Christmas display at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. When we were taking a picure (after much debate about the perfect photo location!) Kirby got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! When we turned the corner I spotted my brother-in-law (who thought he may have ruined the surprise!) and realized that my entire family came in from out of town and was waiting to celebrate! Kirby even planned a surprise brunch the next day with more of our friends! We were so happy to share this moment with our friends and family!

Originally built in 1912 for Atlanta's Maddox Coffee Company, much of the building has been restored to its original aesthetic including exposed brick, heavy timber columns, & hardwood floors with a modern vibe.
