If you're visiting Portland from out of town, we recommend you try some of our favorite spots while you're in town.

Just over the East side of the River, Rum Club is one of our all-time favorite bars. Try the Daiquiri, coconut cake, or anything else on the menu. This is a small place - try and make a reservation or have a backup plan.

Rum Club

One of our favorite pizza spots in town, with a good bar attached as well. This is walking distance from the Holiday Inn on Vaughn Street.

Pizza Thief

Where we had our first date! A nice chill pub with excellent pizza and simple drinks, a fireplace, and indoor and outdoor seating.

The Muddy Rudder Public House

Excellent food and drinks, with an emphasis on Scotch. Lots of outdoor seating. Try the soft shell crab sandwich and the rice paper.

Scotch Lodge

A cute, quiet cocktail lounge in the Woodlark Hotel. Walking distance from the Sentinel.

Abigail Hall

The best chocolate chip cookies in Portland, and a quick 2-minute walk from Mt Tabor park. A good spot for families, date night, or brunch with outdoor seating.
