Some love stories begin in castles, others in coffee shops. Ours began at The Queen Theater in Wilmington, Delaware. Devin had just moved to town—new job, new city, suitcase barely unpacked—when fate threw him onstage. And there I was, in a white baseball cap, setting up for an event, blissfully unaware that this was my cue. He swears he noticed me first. (I’ll let him have that one.) But the truth is, the universe clearly had us scripted. The very next night, after the party confetti had settled, we found ourselves talking… and talking. And not long after, a message appeared in my inbox: “Can I take you out sometime?” Right away, we both knew this was different. But could two Pisces really swim in the same direction? Could an Eagles fan and a Saints fan actually share a sofa on game day? It turns out that the answer was yes. What started in Wilmington quickly grew into something bigger: a shared love of the arts, photography, traveling, music, and the beach. A Florida boy, who’d collected stamps from Oklahoma, New York City, and finally New Orleans, somehow found the Delaware girl who would become the love of his life. And now, that story has carried us here. Devin’s love for New Orleans, the city he proudly claims as “home,” is where we’ll say our vows this March, in a very small, private ceremony, but the real celebration will take place back where it all began. May 2, 2026, we’ll return to The Queen Theater in Wilmington, the stage of our very first meeting, to throw the biggest party of our lives. And just like that… two hearts, one story, one fabulous celebration.
