Our freshman year at Penn State in August 2014, we lived three doors down from each other on the 3rd floor of Bigler Hall and became friends the first week of school. For the next three years our friendship grew as we shared lots of laughs & made many memories together — enjoying ice cream at Berkey Creamery, the Carl's tailgates at Beaver Stadium, parties at Jackson's fraternity, the Big 10 Championship football game, and a study abroad semester when we both happened to go to Florence, Italy — to name a few. Our senior year after three+ years of friendship (and Jackson having a crush on Rachel), Rachel went as Jackson's date to his fraternity’s winter formal. After going on a few dates in Philadelphia over Christmas break, we made it official in January 2018. We both lived in NYC for a few years after graduating, and eventually decided to go on a cross-country road trip for 5 months at the beginning of 2022. We traveled to CO, AZ, UT, CA, and TX & made the best memories. In September 2022, Jackson planned a date night in one of our favorite places, Cape May, over Labor Day Weekend. After dinner at the Peter Shields Inn, we went to the beach across the street to watch the sunset and he proposed! He had both of our families there hiding in the dunes to celebrate—the best weekend ever!
