Long before they actually met, Rachele and Matt both worked at the same company, a little company called Amazon. One day they were both in the office and exchanged glances, but never spoke. Fast forward about 18 months, they were both out at a work event, and Rachele was now at a different company. Neither of them wanted to be there that night, but were pressured to go by their co-workers. It was at a bar they neither of them like; the likelihood of them being there was very low. Matt was introduced to Rachele by a co-worker and what started out as a casual work conversation, became more interesting! They ended up talking the whole time and ignored the actual event. They sat along the window facing the street and while other people networked, they got to know each other and both remembered that time they exchanged glances in the office. Spot the pic from the night they first met in the 'Gallery' section... Matt and Rachele knew that they loved each other after a few months of dating. It’s a debate on who knew they loved the other one first. Matt’s take: after 4 months of dating Matt introduced Rachele to Quentin and Cormac on Valentines Day 2023, a pretty big gesture. In March, Matt was really nervous when they went on a trip together and wanted to say “I love you” but Rachele beat him to it, so technically she said it first. For those that know Rachele, she can be a little competitive. It was probably a tie and they both knew they loved each other at the same time. On August 1 2023 Matt proposed to Rachele in Montana, at Rachele’s family’s cabin. It was just the two of them and Matt had been waiting all day to propose. However, he didn’t prepare himself for the sun setting much later in Montana, and the abundance of ski boats blasting their music during the sunset hours. After the last boat left, Matt proposed on the deck overlooking the lake. Three cats and one 90 pound black lab later, Matt and Rachele live together in Marin. They’ve traveled Japan, Argentina, Montana, Colorado, and up and down the California Coast, including Cazadero. They’ve bonded over their love of good food, wine, live music, a hike with a view, and both enjoy coaching for the local little league and swim team. They are SO SO excited to celebrate their love with all of their favorite people in one of their all time favorite places! And…at least once a year they go back to that bar they don’t even like and sit in the same seats along the window.
