Flight
Chicago has two major airports—O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway International (MDW)—both located about the same distance from downtown. From O’Hare, you can easily catch a taxi or rideshare outside the terminals. If you're feeling adventurous, you can hop on the Blue Line “L” train, which provides a direct route into the city. From Midway, taxis and rideshares are readily available, and the Orange Line “L” train offers a convenient ride downtown as well. *Rideshare pickups are available at both airports in designated areas—follow the signs when you arrive.
Train
If you're up for a little adventure, Chicago's public transit system is a great way to explore the city! The “L” train (short for "elevated") has color-coded lines that connect most major neighborhoods, including downtown, the airport, and fun spots like Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, and the Loop. It’s fast, affordable, and a true Chicago experience. It is both convenient and a great way to get a feel for the city beyond the typical tourist spots.
