Busch Gardens is an amusement park owned by Seaworld. They have live animals and lots of plants along with a few rollercoasters and other rides. They own a water park called Water Country. Water Country is at a separate location, so you have to drive and buy two tickets to both.
Historical sights and great shopping!
More history!
This is the park we have season passes. They have numerous great rollercoasters, a waterpark included in the park, a great kids area, and Chick-fil-A. Also, parking is a lot less stupid here compared to Busch Gardens.
This is actually in the county! There's canoeing, hiking, and other outdoor stuff.
A maritime-themed science center and museum located on the downtown waterfront in Norfolk and is also known as the National Maritime Center. (Copied from Wikipedia because last time I was there was a sixth-grade field trip, but I did enjoy it.)
There are many cities in the Outer Banks, but Kitty Hawk was the easiest to pinpoint for an address. Duck, Corolla, Rodanthe, Kill Devil Hills, and Hatteras are all good too. Lots of history, beaches, restaurants, and shops to enjoy. (It's where we are going on our honeymoon.)
It's a nice beach, but we usually go to the Outer Banks.
Very nice zoo!
"The battle of Yorktown, 1781" "Monsieur Hamilton" "Monsieur Lafayette" "In command where you belong" "How you say, no sweat Finally on the field, we've had quite a run" "Immigrants, we get the job done" "So what happens if we win?" "I go back to France I bring freedom to my people If I'm given the chance" "We'll be with you when you do" "Go lead your men" "I see you on the other side" "'Til we meet again, let's go!" "I am not throwin' away my shot! I am not throwin' away my shot! Hey yo, I'm just like my country I'm young scrappy and hungry And I'm not throwin' away my shot! I am not throwin' away my shot! 'Til the world turns upside down"
