Four years ago I ventured my way to North Carolina from Mississippi, and I had no idea what was in store. Little did I know, my future in-laws had been praying for my journey, long before I had even come to the decision to leave my hometown and come to Winston-Salem (how cool is that?? God is always so strategic with His works). As I settled into North Carolina, I started noticing my now fiancé, I was BESIDE myself. I had never been nervous around guys, but for some reason all I could talk about was school.. Literally ask him, he loves to tell that story. However, the more I got to know him, the more comfortable I became. That summer of 2016, we took a trip out to Washington, D.C, SHOUT OUT VG (don't all the great love stories start on a high school mission trip?). On our free day we were able to go to the National Art museum, where Zach was a gentleman who carried my back pack throughout the entire museum, let us get lost because I swore I knew how to navigate the map, and let me go on and on about the amazing art throughout the museum. That was the start of a summer full of hanging out with mutual friends, "not dating," and two kids trying to figure out if we wanted to step into a relationship. After lots of leading on *cough cough Zach,* he finally told me we are dating. Yes, you read it right, told me. Now we don't have a first date, we just have about ten first dates, but after four years, who wants to keep count anyway. During all of this time, Zach and I have been through a lot by each other's sides. Long distance, growing up, planning for our futures, you name it. However, all of these things, has brought us to this special season, ENGAGEMENT. We get to get married!!! For everyone reading this, each of you have played a special role, by encouraging us, leading us through many different seasons, and speaking wisdom into us. We can't wait to start our forever together, and hope this gives you some insight into our relationship!
