We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Rachel and Zach have decided to make forever official! We are so lucky to have such incredible friends and family who have supported us as individuals and as a couple over the years. We can't wait to celebrate with you in one of our favorite places on earth.

Rachel and Zach met at a Halloween Party in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Rachel and Zach were seniors at rival schools - Rachel at Duke University, Zach at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, just a few miles down the road. We met through friends at the party, went on our official first date less than a week later, and the rest is history. Over the years, we've lived in 6 homes across 2 states together, shared 3 cats, and made some incredible friends along the way!

Nearly 8 years into dating on August 18, 2021, Zach proposed to Rachel at sunset on a sailboat on the Ionian Sea off the coast of Greece. Rachel's siblings were present to witness, photograph, and celebrate the occasion, exactly as Rachel had hoped.

The Mauna Kea is a very special place for Rachel and Zach. It is Zach's favorite place they've ever visited together, and it is the same place that Rachel's grandparents celebrated many anniversaries, including their 50th Anniversary with the entire Fischell Family in 2001. The Mauna Kea is a magical place and we can't wait to share it with you!

Zach and Rachel plan to be married on 11/11 at sunset at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, just a few days after their 9th dating anniversary. We chose 11/11 as a reflection of the luck we feel in having found one another and the beautiful life we've built together!
