Our story began at Morgan’s Grind, the little coffee shop tucked inside the library at CSU. I was sitting alone, reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, when Zach walked up to me and said, “Hi, I just saw you and thought you were cute, so I figured I’d come say hello.” We started talking and quickly discovered we were both from Washington—him from Walla Walla, and me from Bellevue—two sides of the same state, meeting by chance hundreds of miles away. Before we parted ways, I gave him my number, not fully knowing that it would be one of the most important decisions of my life. Now, here we are—getting ready to say “I do,” and feeling so lucky that one spontaneous hello led us to forever.
