It all started in Grade 10 science class, when we were partnered up while working on some in-class assignments, and our friendship grew from there. That summer included many late-night phone calls, where Rachel would fall asleep listening to Wyatt playing the guitar. After many months of Wyatt trying to convince Rachel that they should be together, Rachel finally said yes in the parking lot of the pizza place while their friend was grabbing a slice (it was romantic, we promise.) We've been pretty much inseparable ever since.
For the last few years, we've made it a little tradition of ours to take some couples photos on a self-timer - you can see some of our favourites throughout the years on this site! And even though we'd been planning our elopement for a few months at this point, Wyatt still wanted to surprise Rachel with a proposal. He decided to ask during one of these DIY photo shoots so that they could have the memory forever. Pretty smart idea, if you ask us.
We've been busy planning the trip of a lifetime through Europe, and couldn't stop thinking about how there would be no better place to make the promise of forever. So we decided to elope in a private ceremony on the sunny shores of Santorini, Greece in May. We couldn't be more excited to begin this next chapter of our lives together.
Together with our families, we'll be hosting a celebration of our marriage in Downtown Kitchener. This date is extra special to us, since it happens to fall right around our eighth anniversary! We hope that you can come join us, and help to celebrate our eight years together with the promise of many, many more.
