We met at Coffee High School. It all started when Wade skipped his gym class to come see his youth pastor who happened to be substituting for my French teacher. I must have been looking extra cute that day because his visit to my class turned into glances and smirks in the hallways. Luckily for me, Wade’s youth pastor substituted for my teacher often. We exchanged phone numbers and started hanging out some. Standing in the movie theater parking lot on January 17, 2014, I became Wade’s girlfriend. Or as Wade likes to put it, “I begged him to be my boyfriend.” We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into, but I think we both knew it was the real deal. We have grown so much together and have always been each other’s number one supporter. We were already dreaming of marrying each other way back in 2014 when we had only been dating for a few of months. I knew Wade was a keeper the night we were sitting in my car and a random song came on the radio. I jokingly said, “I’d like for this to be our first dance song at our wedding one day!” He looked at me, smiled big, turned it up, and said, “Well, let’s practice!” That night we danced and practiced in his parent’s back yard. Of course we are choosing this song as our first dance song, and don’t worry- I’ll make sure all of you get to see Wade’s practice on the dance floor! The wedding date that we chose, January 16th, is very special to us, being that the following day we will have been dating for seven years. Each year when we celebrate our wedding anniversary, we will be able to easily remember all of our dating years that led us to where we are today. We are so excited to share this special time in our lives with each of you! We look forward to celebrating with you!
