we're getting married

Trinidad and Rachel met officially sophomore year of high school in their World History class. While they both immediately thought the other was very cute, neither of them reached out to the other for a few months. In an attempt to start a conversation, Rachel texted Trinidad through Instagram to ask for the history homework (that she already had) and he immediately responded (with the wrong homework). This happened a couple times before Trinidad finally asked Rachel for her number. They proceeded to text and talk on the phone every night for a few months before Trinidad finally asked Rachel to be his girlfriend on March 1, 2017. The two dated all through high school and decided to push through long distance in college, as they could not imagine breaking up and living life without the other. They endured a lot during these five years of long distance including four different colleges, Covid, and earned three total degrees between the two. However, they always knew that they would end up spending their lives together. Trinidad made it official by asking Rachel to marry him on August 27, 2023 on Coronado Beach during a weekend trip with their friends. Rachel was told to get ready for dinner on the beach with Trinidad and her brother, Jack, and was very surprised to instead walk up to a set up with flowers and champagne! Trinidad and Rachel are extremely excited to start their lives together and will be residing in Ripon, CA after their wedding. Rachel is currently a math teacher at Ripon High School and Trinidad is in the fire academy at Clements Fire Department. They cannot wait to begin this next chapter of their lives together! <3
