Who would have ever thought! I had heard of Louisiana, Missouri. Had driven through the outskirts along Hwy. 54 heading to Chicago a few times. I mean, who would have thought, the one time I decide to set up shop at the ColorFest Street Fair, I would meet the love of my life! It was Sunday, October 20, 2019 when Tim came to my booth to ask about home improvements and we have literally been inseparable since. Fast forward to October 20, 2023, I had been so excited for weeks for our 4 Year Date-A-Versary trip to Atlanta to our haunted house adventures. I had no clue that this trip would result in the true beginning of us, the beginning of the rest of our lives together. So it goes like this…we got to Stone Mountain early by way of Buc-ee’s amazingly clean bathrooms so we could explore Stone Mountain Park. The winds were high enough that they had closed the Sky Ride before we got to the gate. Tim & I, being the adventurous people we are, decided to hike to the top, all 825 vertical feet or a mile long climb, whichever sounds more impressive. The view at the top was simply spectacular! I was thinking, boy was it time for a rest break, when Tim found the perfect rock to perch on. I kept thinking, chanting really, holy moly, I hope the climb down is better than the climb up. And then I just knew we had to have a t-shirt announcing our accomplishment to the world. I was about to climb to my feet to go in search of said t-shirt, when I looked up to see Tim going to one knee. I mean like on top of a mountain, Tim is on one knee and out comes the box. I think we were both crying at this point. He asked, and I said yes! Cheers to the beginning of us!
