In the beautiful city of San Diego, God began to weave a story only He could write. Rachel, a travel nurse from the warm shores of Tampa, Florida, arrived for her very first assignment — never imagining it would change her life forever. Scott, having recently stepped away from the fast pace of San Francisco, was beginning a fresh chapter of his own. Little did we know, a simple swipe would lead to the greatest adventure yet. From the very beginning, laughter, faith, and a shared love for life drew us together. We found joy in the little things — trying out new coffee shops, going on long walks, spending slow Saturdays making breakfast, and meal prepping side by side. We spent beach days soaking up the sun, explored dog parks just to watch all the cute pups (especially Rachel’s beloved shih tzus), and sang in the car with the windows down. We cheered on our favorite teams, shared cozy home-cooked meals, and served together in children's ministry at Light Church Downtown — a community that quickly felt like home. In every ordinary and extraordinary moment, God’s fingerprints were unmistakable — gently guiding and shaping the love that was blooming between us. As our relationship grew, so did the bonds between our families — stretching from the sunny streets of Tampa to the coastal beauty of Santa Barbara. The love, support, and prayers that have surrounded us have been a beautiful reflection of God’s grace in our lives. Now, as we stand on the edge of forever, our hearts are full of gratitude — for each other, for the family and friends who have cheered us on, and for the God who so lovingly wrote our story.
