Matron of Honor
Alla & I met in 2011, and I experienced her grace and sweet spirit from the moment we met, as she extended forgiveness to me as I almost "stained her perfectly WHITE dining room chair! Not a "good" way to start a friendship, but Alla has become more like a sister than a friend. She has an absolute passion for God and seeing people come to know God in a deeper more real way. We have traveled overseas on mission trip together, started and co-lead a women's bible study group in Asheville, and have shared many tears and heart-felt prayers for our soon to be "future husbands". Alla (& her now husband Liley) introduced me to Sam, at a wedding in 2015, Alla somehow knew then that Sam was the man for me, and I could not say "I do" without her by my side.
Best Man
My best man, Ramu Velu and I met at a conference 5 years ago. We connected one evening after the seminar and began to share our life history with each other. We walked and talked, and before we knew it it was 4 am! I think I knew then. Ramu would become more like a brother to me. We committed to hold each other accountable on daily phone calls to live extraordinary lives. 5 years later and we are still committed to each other and our phone calls. Ramu's kindness, love for people, and desire to improve his life are just a few of the things that I admire about him. On top of that, Ramu has been a calm and trustworthy source in my life in the season of dating Rachel. I could not be more Grateful that he is my best man and chose to stand beside me in this very important time of my life.
