Rachel here! January '21, I brought my friend Caroline to her broken car where she was meeting a friend of hers. He was gonna try to fix the car! When he showed up, he shook my hand and introduced himself. I was surprised to hear, 'I'm single'. I said, "me too!," and we remained nameless, and I was both shocked and flattered (and creeped out, because i knew he was an NGU grad and I just a freshman). After telling all my girlfriends about the fun day with the sweet guy helping Caroline, Samuel came to visit NGU to help another girl with her car and hang out with friends! A mutual friend of ours (Nicole), who had heard my story of meeting Samuel, came up to me. "Rachel, bad news... Remember when you brought Caroline to her car and you met Samuel? Well he did not say 'I'm single'. He said 'I'm Samuel,' and you said 'me too.'" UH OH. Beet red, i saw Samuel watching us talk, and I hoped he'd forgotten. He certainly hadn't. This is still one of our favorite stories we share!
