South Congress Avenue
SoCo is an exciting street full of boutique stores, amazing food, and live music. For food, we recommend Aba for great Mediterranean, Perla’s for oysters/seafood, Jeni’s/Amy’s for ice cream, or Home Slice for NY-style pizza.
Zilker Metropolitan Park
A large park with a beautiful view of the Austin skyline. Bring a picnic blanket, a good book and some snacks!
Barton Springs Pool
A fun public pool fed by natural spring water. Great for lounging on a warm day, and swimming if you’re brave - the water stays 68-70 degrees year-round!
Town Lake
Town Lake has a long walking trail right by the water-front. It runs right through Downtown and is great for site-seeing.
The Domain
A large outdoor shopping center with a plethora of stores and restaurants! For food, we recommend North Italia or Sixty Vines for Italian, Culinary Dropout for elevated bar food, Loro for an Asian/BBQ fusion, or True Food Kitchen for new American.
