Cocktail or formal attire is completely acceptable! Feel free to wear a jacket and tie or a traditional suit. The women may wear an elegant dress (long or short), a nice pantsuit, or a dressy jumpsuit. Keeping in mind that this is a "winter wedding", the temperature can vary. On this day in years past, there has not been snow and temperatures have been above freezing. Any color is welcome with the exception of white (for obvious reasons).
There is both parking at the church and the reception venue free of charge. For guests who are unable to walk a little distance, there are golf cart rides from the parking lot to the reception entrance.
Both locations are smoke-free inside; however, there is a nice patio at the reception should you need a break.
It is approximately a 15-minute drive from the church to the reception venue. After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages. Yard games will be available to pass the time as well.
While we would love to be able to celebrate with children, we feel this it is not appropriate to have children in this environment as alcohol will be served. We kindly request that other arrangements be made ahead of time for the little angels.
On the RSVP, there is a designated amount of seats we have given you. There is a max limit the reception hall will allow us and deep consideration has gone into how many seats individuals are reserved.
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #OhMyLorden so we can keep track of all of your pictures! The only time we would request for you to keep your phones in your pocket/purse would be at the ceremony. The photographer is being paid handsomely, so we would prefer our professional photos to be of the best, clear angles and quality.
