How can we get to Essex Steam Train and Riverboat?

Answer

If you're travelling from outside the state, there is a train station connecting to Amtrak and Shore Line East in Old Saybrook, CT. From there it's a 9 minute drive to the reception venue.

Will the train be moving?

Answer

Yes, the train is going to go along the river.

Question

Will the entire train be reserved for the wedding?

Answer

No, there are 3 cars on the train and the last one is reserved for us. The other two train cars will have normal passengers. This is why the train cannot wait if a guest is late.

Is the food going to be served on the train?

Answer

Yes, the train car comes with tables. Food will be served while the train is in motion.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We would recommend staying in Essex, Old Saybrook, or Westbrook if you are coming from outside the state. If you're staying for the brunch the next day, Middletown is also a good option.
