For Rachel was a typical Friday night out with work friends, but this time one of her close co-workers, Mike, invited his two brothers. Richard was his youngest brother. It wasn’t an immediate click, but Rachel and Richard realized they liked the same music. There were a few more occasions where they went out with the same group of friends and started to build a friendship. It wasn’t until almost a year later they became really close when they took a spur of the moment trip to Ocean City Maryland with friends on June 1, 2017. There were sparks and a few days later they made it official.

They fell in love fast and had that conversation about marriage and kids. That was the plan and on September 29, 2017 they found out that having kids was coming first and they were perfectly okay with that. Their beautiful princess, Khloè Brenda Ortiz, was born May 25, 2018.

The day after they brought their daughter home from the hospital, Richard asked Rachel to be is wife.
