We met at a karaoke bar in Austin. Rafael had just drove 14 hours straight from Atlanta, and it was the last day Rachel was in town for the holidays. Rafael caught Rachel's eye, and she told her best friend, Christina that she was interested in "that guy." Christina recognized him as a regular of the bar, and she introduced us. We talked throughout the rest of the night in between singing songs. One thing we talked about was cheese. Rafael said that he had been allergic to dairy growing up, so he missed out on eating cheese and ice cream. Rachel's eye's lit up as she reassured him that she would show him the world! The world of cheese at least. After that magical night, we never thought we'd see each other again, but then March 2020 happened and Rachel ended up spending 6 months quarantining in Austin, and we ended up falling in love and establishing a relationship. And to this day, Rachel is still excitedly showing Rafael the world of cheese.
