A SURPRISE to us, we met on Hinge a phone app for dating... yes, truly we live in the 21st century. Rachel cancelled the first date because she was under the weather but Purnel hung in there strong. Likely stressed about not killing her with what we ate on our first date he succeeded at finding a spot to meet. 9 hours later, our first date ended. It was the most perfect '3 date' day we'd ever been on and we knew we needed to see each other again. Between many hours in the car and on the phone, many tough conversations and a lot of love here we are today and we can't wait to celebrate it with you!

On August 06, 2020 at a very early 4:30 a.m. a sleepy Rachel was woken up for a surprise... still in the dark we headed to Centennial airport where we would take flight. The sky was beautiful and Colorado blessed us with a gorgeous morning. At exactly 6:03 a.m., the official moment of the sunrise, Purnel pulled out a box and as gracefully as he could both fly a plane and propose, he asked Rachel to be his wife. She said "It depends what's inside this box." - but approved and quickly said yes. It was perfect. Rachel agreed that she would wake up at 4:30 am for a diamond and a coffee. We landed and luckily caught a crew member to take some quick photos of our exciting air time surprise.
