If you are interested in hiking while in town, here are some of our favorite places to go: • Blue Ridge Parkway- www.blueridgeparkway.org- This is a beautiful drive, and a good way to see the mountains without having to hike at all! Keep a look out for the viaduct (pictured) and ample opportunities to pull over for photos. • Chimney Rock- www.chimneyrockpark.com- Check out the website for trail info & pricing. The money helps the State Park and the views at the top are spectacular. • Pisgah National Forest- www.alltrails.com/ parks/us/north-carolina/pisgah-national-forest- We actually suggest checking out the recommendations on that alltrails link, because there are so many options to choose from in this national forest!
One of our personal favorites! Tucked into the forest, a visit to this brewery is a mini-escape. Choose from 23 beers on tap, sample Southern-inspired small plates, sit fireside on the Back Porch, and explore the nature trail.
Located in downtown Asheville, the Brewpub is the original home of Wicked Weed Brewing housing a full restaurant, downstairs beer bar, bottle shop, and original 15 barrel brewery. Complete with a dog-friendly patio and cocktail area at both levels, guests are sure to find the brewery experience suited to them.
