Travel Note
We have secured a room block at Glorietta Bay Inn in Coronado (details below). We also recommend Airbnb. As for where to look to stay in San Diego, it depends on what you want to see and do during your stay. Coronado is a great place to stay if you are interested in going to the beach, checking out the historic Hotel Del, renting bikes to ride around the island, shopping, and dining. Coronado is a 10-15 minute drive down the Silver Strand from the wedding venue and a 15-20 minute drive to the meet and greet at Thorn St. Brewery in North Park. If you are interested in a more central location to San Diego, Little Italy and Banker's Hill are ideal for proximity to downtown, dining, site seeing, and Rachel's favorite place in San Diego - Balboa Park. Balboa Park has great museums, gardens, and is generally a beautiful place to walk around. The world famous San Diego Zoo is also nearby. It's not overrated, it's actually very cool. If you stay around downtown San Diego, it will be a 20-30 minute drive to the wedding venue and a 10-15 minute drive to the meet and greet at Thorn St. Brewery in North Park.
