FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love the little ones, this is an adults only affair.

Question

can i bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. However, due to limitation on the number of guests the venue can accommodate, we cannot extend a plus-one to everyone.

Question

How should i prepare for the high altitude?

Answer

Ouray sits at 7,792 feet above sea level. The following are a few tips to help you have the best trip possible. 1: DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!!! Start this a few days prior to arriving. Most cases of altitude sickness are caused by dehydration. 2: Monitor your alcohol intake. One drink at altitude feels like two or three drinks at sea level. Alcohol can exacerbate the symptoms of altitude sickness. 3: Take it easy. You're on vacation after all! Even your normal level of exercise the first few days at altitude can be too much. 4: Communicate. If you have a headache you can't shake please tell someone, as this may be a sign of altitude sickness. 5: DRINK WATER!!! Seriously, we can't emphasize this enough. If you drink plenty of water you'll be just fine.

Question

Isn't it cold in Colorado in September?

Answer

Colorado's cold isn't as cold as you think. Without the humidity the temperatures are much less harsh. The average high in Ouray in September is 69 degrees. Also, the sun is always shining! We suggest bringing a light jacket for after sundown, and dress in layers. The reception will be in the garden courtyard but we will have heaters available if the need arises.
